How to Clean Your Beloved Air Fryer?
Air fryers are likely recognisable to regular readers of food and drink vertical, Skillet, and some may even own one. Air fryers have earned their positions on kitchen counters as one of the must-have cooking gadgets in recent years, thanks to their ease of use and ability to prepare healthier versions of classic fried delicacies.
While air fryers don't create the same greasy mess as deep fryers (or deep-frying in a pot), they do require cleaning. Here's how to go about it.
How to clean an air fryer's basket?
This is a simple task. Simply remove the drawer and basket from the fryer and wash them in warm water with dish soap. Because the insides of air fryers are often constructed of nonstick material, Tim Marcin of Mashable recommends using a sponge or soft cloth to avoid scratching the coating.
If there are any tough delicacies that won't wash away, Marcin recommends gently loosening them with your fingernail or a paper towel. When you're finished, ensure sure both the drawer and the basket are completely dry before putting it back in the fryer.
How to clean the heating element and other inner components?
Cleaning the drawer and basket is usually sufficient. However, it's a good idea to clean the inside of the fryer, especially the heating element, on a regular basis.
Cleaning the exterior of the air fryer is as simple as cleaning the outsides of your other kitchen appliances: wipe down the surfaces with soap and water or a disinfectant wipe.
